Bryce Michael Hughes

Bryce is a teenage Filmmaker, YouTuber and Programmer. He started writing and directing horror short films at 9 years old. His first was "In the House" and at 10 he wrote and directed the sequel "In the House 2". Bryce has published 3 comic books from his "Captain JC" series - all before he was 10 years old and it sold out within a week at "My Parents Basement" Comic Book store and Restaurant. At 13, he completed his third horror short film, a psychological thriller called "Embrace". He looks up to horror director Jordan Peele and the works of Stephen King. He aspires to create a full-length psychological thriller and his own video game.

He is a sophomore at the distinguished DeKalb School of the Arts with a Major in Film & Media and a Minor in Creative Writing. With his Film Team, Gen Nebula, they received accolades for their two short films their freshman year, "Tommy" and "Too Tommy". Bryce was the first freshman to receive the "Rising Star" award for the 2024-2025 school year at the School of Performing Arts Banquet. Bryce also won 2nd place in the State for his creative interpretation in music at the 2024-2025 PTA Reflections competition. You can listen to his piece now on Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.
