Bernardo Vidal
- Sound Department
Hello, I'm Bernardo Vidal, also known as Blare Vidal. With over 15 years of experience, I've carved out a niche as a Portuguese sound designer, music producer, composer, and sound engineer. My journey has taken me across continents, where I've made significant contributions to the electronic music scene.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of touring extensively in North and South America, sharing stages with luminaries such as Steve Aoki, Jonathan Davis (lead singer of Korn), Infected Mushroom, Pendulum, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo from The Bloody Beetroots, and Erol Alkan. Alongside my co-created rocktronica project, Gunslinger, I've graced renowned events like Burning Man, leaving an indelible mark on audiences worldwide.
My prowess extends beyond performance; I've collaborated with esteemed artists like Shpongle and remixed tracks for iconic bands like The Doors and Blues Traveler. Notably, my remix of Blues Traveler's "Run-Around" found a place in the band's 25th-anniversary album, while my remix of The Doors' "Waiting for the Sun" awaits release.
In addition to my musical endeavors, I've delved into sound design for various mediums, including TV and web commercials, documentaries, and video mapping experiences. My work has been showcased on platforms like MTV, adding to my diverse portfolio.
My focus lies in sound design for video games, film, video mapping, and art installations. I'm passionate about exploring the profound impact of sound on emotions and experiences, pushing the boundaries of creativity in every project I undertake.
In my quest for innovation, I've had the privilege of collaborating with talented actresses and directors like Kat Mills Martin and Tijuana Ricks, as well as Kandis Withak. These collaborations have enriched my creative journey, allowing me to expand my horizons and leave a lasting impression on the entertainment industry.
