Biography

Dean is an actor, independent film-maker, and writer.

Dean started his professional career on stage in the UK, before moving to Asia to focus on film. He has been cast in leading roles in several theatrically released South-East Asian feature films, and can now be seen in Noah Hawley's "Alien" series on FX and Disney.

In 2006 Dean appeared as a regular in MTV's "Barrio 19" TV show, televised in 167 territories worldwide. In 2010 Dean's short film Dohard was screened to a packed out arena in Qatar attended by the princess of Qatar. In 2013 Dean wrote and produced feature film "Time Rush" through his production company Stunt Power Films, which was acquired and distributed globally by Archstone, and is now distributed by Green Apple Entertainment. In 2020 Dean wrote, produced, and directed feature film Haphazard, which is distributed by Green Apple Entertainment. In 2023 Dean's science fiction novel "Symutal" was published through Neuroid Books, attracting 5 star reviews.

(2024) Dean is directing his second feature film, based on the book Symutal, produced through his production company Stunt Power Films, shot on location in south east Asia.

Dean was born in Dubai to an English / Sierra Leonean mother and a Swiss / Greek-Cypriot father, and grew up in London, England.

Dean is a Blackbelt in ITF Taekwondo, and multiple trophy winner, including British Middleweight Blackbelt Sparring Champion (Gold), European (Bronze), and others.
