She had progressed to the final audition stage and was being considered for a partner dance role opposite one of the film's lead actors - a centerpiece performance that would have placed her directly on screen alongside him.

At the time, Luz had only recently arrived in the United States and was still learning to navigate both the language and the physical landscape of Southern California. She lives with medically documented low vision that significantly impairs her ability to read distant signage, particularly at night. Combined with her limited English proficiency during those early years, navigating unfamiliar freeway routes independently proved extraordinarily difficult. Despite having been selected to advance and invited to attend the final audition session, she was ultimately unable to reach the studio in time.

Luz is the daughter of Yamile Humar, a respected Colombian actress, and was raised in an environment deeply rooted in performance, discipline, and expressive storytelling.
