Biography

Sylvaine grew up in France and Germany where she attended the European School in Karlsruhe. After studying Geology in Strasbourg for two years, she came to Paris to complete a Bachelor degree in English and Film studies at Sorbonne Nouvelle. She then went to the US, at U of I as a teaching assistant while working on her Sorbonne Master in English. There she also completed a Master's Degree in Comparative literature and Film. Back in Paris, she started in the industry as a PA on several feature films among which Cannes Palme d'Or winning film "Sous le soleil de Satan" as second second AD. She then moved to commercials as 1st AD or location manager with famous fashion photographers such as Jean Paul Goude and Peter Lindbergh. She quickly became line producer and then executive producer with production companies Premiere Heure, Les Telecreateurs (now Insurrection) and Partizan. In 2008, she founded Doko and Stink France, the French office of Stink Films that she managed for 9 years. She is managing partner and founder of FortLee, created in 2017.
