Biography

Ava Threat was born on 06 September 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. She began her career as a model at the age of six before expanding into acting, voiceover, and dance. Dedicated to developing her craft, Ava has trained with several respected acting coaches, including Alicia Kelley, Julia Jones, Carole Kaboya, and Joe Massingill.

Ava is known for her role as Imani in the BET+ film The Day Before Christmas (2024). She also appears as Stephanie in Tyler Perry’s Netflix series Beauty in Black (2024 and 2025) and has a credited role in NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society (2024).

Most recently, Ava worked alongside Vanessa Kirby and Yahya Abdul Mateen II in the upcoming Apple action sci-fi feature Liminal, directed by Louis Leterrier.

Beyond acting, Ava is passionate about the performing arts and enjoys singing and dancing, with training in jazz and hip hop. When she’s not performing, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cheerleading, and playing basketball.
