- On August 26, 1963, Trump was sightseeing with actress Susan Petrone on the ocean cliffs north of San Simeon. They had parked their car for a view of the coastline from a point near the Monterey County line, but Petrone lost her footing when rocks gave away beneath her. Trump grabbed for her but missed and she fell 400 feet onto the rocks below.
