Jocelyn Chan

Jocelyn Chan is a Hong Kongese-Canadian singer-songwriter and actress, born and based in Hong Kong. Her father is Hong Kong musician Siu-kei Chan. Chen Mingxi grew up abroad, and she attended St. Francis Primary School in Vancouver, Canada. She studied in Hong Kong ESF Hong Kong Island International School in middle school. During this period, she began to try to compose songs, form a band, and participated in school music competitions. Chen Mingxi participated in the recording of the Disney Princess series theme song "Bright Light" when he was 18 years old. After that, Chen Mingxi was admitted to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, majoring in history and minoring in music industry. During college, she also participated in the singing competition of the Hong Kong Student Union of the University of Southern California in the United States and won the second place. In addition, she composed songs for the multimedia exhibition "TWENTY BLISS". After graduating from university, Chen Mingxi went to the London Contemporary Music Center to study alone. During her study in London, she systematically studied vocal music, composition, arrangement and various musical instruments. In her spare time, she volunteered in London charities and performed for disadvantaged groups. Released her first Cantonese single, "Sound of Silence," featuring audio therapy elements, which became her first RTHK champion song. Chen Mingxi has also been a vegetarian for many years and has continued to support environmental protection. The MV of the single "Yue Le" shows the threatened natural environment. Outside of work, she also enjoys outdoor activities, Muay Thai, and reading. She once revealed that she liked Japanese animation and songs in middle school and even studied Japanese for 7 years. Due to the epidemic, it is currently mainly developing in Hong Kong, which has a close cooperative relationship with Hong Kong Sony Music Entertainment.
