Biography

Ed Tipper was born on August 3, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is known for Day of Days: June 6, 1944 (2014), Dick Winters: Hang Tough (2012) and We Stand Alone Together (2001). He died on February 1, 2017 in Lakewood, Colorado, USA.

American World War II paratrooper, veteran of Company E, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, he was seriously wounded in Normandy shortly after D-Day and spent over a year in Army hospitals before being discharged in 1945.

Denver, CO, USA: living in retirement; still makes public appearances as a member of E Company.
