Danielle Keen is an actress, writer, director, and singer whose work centers on emotional precision, restraint, contradiction, and the space between stillness and volatility. Raised as an only child in small-town Connecticut, she graduated high school at 16 and moved to New York City to pursue acting. Her recent work includes lead roles in several upcoming feature films and a psychological thriller anthology.
Her work has continued to expand alongside her acting. She has completed her directorial debut short and is currently directing a gritty, surrealist music video in pre-production. Alongside her screen work, she is completing her first book of poetry.
She began performing professionally as a singer at 14, an early practice that runs beneath her screen work. Formal training followed at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, with a BA in Psychology from The New School.
Her screen and written work emerges from a sustained attention to interior states, informing her measured approach to acting and authorship.
