David Rouben

David Rouben is based in Toronto, Canada. David got the knack for filmmaking when he studied journalism in 2017. While pursuing a degree in education, he was given a unique opportunity to meld these two passions together by directing a documentary short called "The Art of Hope" (2023), David's debut as a director, editor, and producer. His company, Community Lenz Productions, aims to tell compelling human-interest stories that focus on the communities that shaped them and the important role of education in their life. David's next directing project, "Newcomers on Ice", will be about hockey organizations that promote a sense of belonging for immigrants and women. It will be co-produced with Sheila Warren of SWARREN Film.
