Joy Millana was born Jocelyn Millana. She is an award-winning producer and director known for Profiled aka Premeditated (2014), Dojo Girl (2018), Bird (2019), Jacob, Broken by God (2023), and When Three Become One (2024).
She is a Filipino-American, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
Daughter of Rolando Millana and Manuela Briones, a medical family practitioner and nurse.
Worked for Gibson Guitar Corporate in Nashville, TN as a full-time music video producer/director.
Started out her creative career as a storyboard artist in Linda Thornburg's Mrs. Stevens Hears the Mermaids Singing (2004).
Interned for Ridley Scott at RSA.
Began producing and directing commercials while in graduate school.
