Mark Nistico is a seven time award-winning director and producer whose critically acclaimed feature film Blue Collar Boys was included in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Permanent Core Collection and cited as "the most politically appropriate film in theaters" by LA Weekly. Cinema Minema has proclaimed Mark Nistico "a remarkable American director and Blue Collar Boys one of the top 10 American films of the decade."

Nistico solidified his brand as a bold director with his debut feature film, the well-received action-drama Blue Collar Boys which Brave New Hollywood designated "a searing reflection of our times that eerily predicted the occupy movement." He has furthered his foothold as a fearless filmmaker working alongside Dr. Todd Wolfson (The Poverty Tour: A Call to Conscience, PBS) on the feature documentary No Somos Máquinas: We Are Not Machines which exposes the pervasive dangers affecting Hispanic immigrant temp-laborers working within the US logistics industry.

As a director Nistico has conceptualized both feature length and short narrative and documentary films, television pilots, and commercials for clients such as Mercedes Benz, Optimum/ Altice, Ricoh USA, and Continental Tires.

Mark is an enthusiast of poetry. The name of his company Silent Sea Productions was inspired by T.S. Elliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Pruffrock.
