For his contribution to the development of cinema, Murat Dzhusoev was awarded the medal 'For the Glory of Ossetia'.

I was a patriot. In the proper sense of the word, I was a patriot. Later, I began to think about many things, about the fate of the people and so on. And I came to the conclusion that until a person changes himself, nothing will change. That is, for patriots, maybe someone is to blame for something, their neighbors or whoever, and this is an eternal problem: people are driven by interests, states are driven by interests, but until the person himself changes, his self-awareness or self-consciousness, nothing will change.

I didn't use the term 'Ossetian cinema' because there were national cinemas like Italian cinema... There was even a Georgian cinema. You could say there was a Georgian cinema throughout the USSR. I consider it a phenomenon in art. For me, Ossetian cinema as a phenomenon in cinema has never been established, and there isn't even a film industry. And there never was.

These are different times, and we need to find other paths, other priorities, to, as many people want, survive as a nation and contribute something to humanity. I believe that if the Ossetians, like any other nation, contribute nothing useful to other nations, to the world, then whether they disappear or not will not change anything significant in the world.
