Heidi Mikac

Heidi Mikac is a writer, producer, and actress, based in Bloomington, Indiana. She is the founder and President of Heidi Mikac Films, a production company launched in 2024 to develop emotionally resonant, psychologically layered content for screen and stage. With a foundation in theater and a strategic pivot into filmmaking in 2023, Heidi brings a unique blend of creative vision and human-centered leadership to every project. Under her direction, Heidi Mikac Films has produced several original works-including her short film (soon to be feature film), Written in the Dark, the award-winning film Written in the Light, and Wherein Lies Continue-all reflecting her passion for poetic realism, empowerment, and healing through art. Heidi is passionate about protecting writers' rights and has made it her lifelong mission to teach them how to copyright their work.
