Biography

Brandon Boudreaux

Biography

  • Director & producer of micro-budgeted films; editor of award winning commercials, music videos, & promos; creator of mixed media video collages.

Brandon grew up in Slidell, Louisiana and is a graduate of New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts in Creative Writing in 1994. He studied experimental filmmaking at the College of Santa Fe under Gene Youngblood and graduated with a degree in film production from Full Sail University in 1997.

Beginning his career editing industrial safety videos in New Orleans he moved to New York City in 2000. After working primarily in unscripted television for three years Brandon shifted his focus to advertising, editing his first national tv commercial for Dasani water in 2003. Since then he has edited hundreds of commercials for brands such as Zelle, IHOP, Coca-Cola, Spotify, Samsung, MTV, & New York Life Insurance.

In 2010 he began No Name Brand Films with Erick Dozier. Their first short film, Down & Across was an ambitious 33 minute NYC set thriller made by a guerrilla crew on a budget of $2,500. The duo would go on to direct two more short films, Initium & Occupy Elm Street, and several music videos.

Also in 2010 he began collaborating with video artist Leah Singer and musician Lee Ranaldo on a series of video installations and performance pieces that evolved into Sight Unseen & Contre Jour: Cinema and Suspended Electric Guitar Phenomena.

He made his solo directorial debut with Neighbors in 2014 and in 2017 began creating a series of video collages, that double as visual albums, for a series of NYC "salon parties" featuring a variety of performers and artist.

In 2020 he released his second solo short film, PKD9000, and in 2021 he began collaborating with the post rock band Golden Hymns Sing 'Hurrah' on multiple music videos and live performances.
