Biography

Lisa Lucas is a professional writer/producer/actor. She graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in French Literature and Theater Arts. She has produced, written, and developed over 36 TV series which include the popular ABC series "The Bachelor", "Work of Art" on Bravo, and the Emmy winning "My 1st Time" on NBC. In addition, she is a part of the producing team behind Silver Bullet Productions award-winning feature documentaries, "A Thousand Voices" (2015), "Defending The Fire" (2018), the Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy winning "However Wide the Sky" (2021) and "No Greater Act: Pueblo Resistance" (2025) which all debuted on PBS and screened at film festivals nationally and around the world. She is an Executive Producer and principal partner in the Santa Fe, New Mexico-based production company, LikeMinds, LLC, which develops/produces scripted and docu-series for streaming as well as independent feature films, shorts, and documentary features.

Lisa co-hosts with actor/writer/producer Debrianna Mansini, the weekly cooking series, @wearethekichenbitches (instagram) and @KitchenBitches (facebook live & youtube) as well as posting weekly substack @bakingitsbetterthanmurder essays on food, feminism and freedom. Their debut cookbook, "That Time We Ate Our Feelings" (2024) was published by Apollo Publishers in New York and is available from book retailers everywhere. Lisa produced the feature film version of Debrianna's award winning stage play, "The Meatball Chronicles" which will screen at film festivals and debut this fall, 2026.

In addition to her writing and producing work, Lisa is a working actor. She received classical ballet training from age 7 to 17 at the Goleta Civic Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Cleveland Ballet and Geneva Opera Ballet. In college, she pursued professional theatrical training from the National Theatre Institute (Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center) in Waterford, CT. She also studied Shakespearean theater at Guildhall School for Music and Drama in London, UK.
