Monique Ryan
Dr. Monique Ryan is a prominent Australian politician, currently serving as an independent Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives. Monique is the Independent Member of Parliament for Kooyong, Victoria. She famously won this historically safe Liberal seat from then-Treasurer Josh Frydenberg in the 2022 federal election, a major upset. She successfully retained her seat in the 2025 federal election. Prior to entering politics, Dr. Ryan had a distinguished career as a paediatric neurologist. She was the Director of Neurology at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital and a medical researcher with over 150 peer-reviewed publications.
