Mini bio

  • Tony Radevski is an Australian-Macedonian writer/director, living and working on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation (Sydney).

Tony directed and co-produced TV pilot 'Fanny Scat Investigates'. His animation project 'Bogan Moths' won the 'Stand Up & Pitch' at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival 2023. In 2022, his TV pilot script, 'Risen', was a Finalist Runner Up in the 2022 Australian Writers' Guild John Hinde Award for Excellence in Science Fiction Writing, and he was inducted into the AWG's 'Pathways Showcase'. The script was on Coverfly's Red List "Top 20" Sci-Fi TV Series, a semi-finalist in ScreenCraft's Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting competition, and was selected for SBS's 'Pitch on Demand' at SPA Forever 2022. The project received early development support from Screen Australia.

His dark comedy feature, "Closet", was long-listed in the AWG's Monte Miller Awards. Tony's films have screened on television and at film festivals internationally, picking up awards and nominations, including Best Film wins at the Dendy Awards ('Ephemeral'), ATOM Awards ('Pilè'), IF Awards ('The Prodigal Son'), Slamdance, Berlinale Talents, and LA International Short Film Festival, where his proof-of-concept short, 'Risen', won Best Sci-Fi Film. At home, the film was recently awarded Best Australian Short Film at AIFF, and has been nominated for a 2022 ATOM Award for Best Short Film.

He was selected for Screen NSW and Australians in Film's "Hollywood Sessions", a development initiative aimed at fast-tracking the careers of mid-career writers and directors in the competitive US film and television industry.

He is the father of a kelpie, which takes up 95% of his time.
