- Art director and production designer Timothy Shibles made his professional art directorial debut in Hulu's "Appendage" (2023), followed by Hulu's "Control Freak" (2025). He studied film and television production design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC, graduating in May of 2024. While in school, he collaborated on over two dozen thesis films and served as the production designer for "Lovesong" (2023), an episode of UNCSA's first television anthology series. Shibles capped his educational career off with "Born This Way" (2024), a queer satire in which he served as production designer, story creator, and associate producer.
A student alum of the Television Academy, he interned at Emmy-Award-winning production designer James Pearse Connelly's design studio in L.A. for eight weeks during the summer of 2023. During his internship, he worked on the sets of NBC's "The Voice", Netflix's "Is it Cake?", and assisted in early previsualization for NBC's "The Kelly Clarkson Show", Bravo's "Top Chef: Wisconsin", and "The Goonies Home Restoration Project". Beyond Los Angeles, he has worked in Wilmington, North Carolina, and the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Following his graduation, Shibles moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to further his career in the art department.
