Laura Gómez Hincapié

Audiovisual Arts Producer. Bachellor degree in Communications and Media from the Catholic University of Pereira and graduated as a professional technician in Film and TV Direction at the Lumiére Foundation in Bogotá, 2009. Lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for more than 6 years. There she worked in different audiovisual groups in the making of documentaries "NINGÚN PIBE NACE PARA CHORRO" and "ALERTA QUE ALIMENTA", selected in the International Environmental Film Festival FINCA. Has worked, for more than 7 years, in the areas of Direction, Audiovisual Edition & Montage, and Script for several Film and TV . Her first shortfilm (documentary), named "Kilómetro 7" was awarded winner of the Support Fund of the Office for Arts & Culture of Pereira in 2016. Received Special Mention in the Regional Category at the Films in The Mountains Festival of Salento in 2017, and took part of the FerFilm Festival in Ferizaj, Kosovo in 2017. Her second shortfilm (experimental) "Fatum and the walker" was included in the official selection of the International VideoArts Festival of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2017 and at the CINETORO FILM FESTIVA, Toro-Valle, Colombia, 2018. In 2019, her project UTOPÍA won the Stories Regional stimulus from the Colombian Film Development Fund. Had been selected in the Talent Campus contest Buenos Aires in 2021 with her long form film "Utopía", included in the category Directors. She's currently working in the post-production of UTOPÍA and in the development of his first fiction short film called EPICENTROS.
