Biography

Writer / Director Erica Milsom is known as a heartfelt, bold, and versatile storyteller. Recent projects include the award-winning animated short film Loop, the Emmy-nominated series Inside Pixar, and the audience favorite Embrace the Panda. She left Pixar to found a new animation studio, Ryzo, that tells stories that move you and move you to act.

During her 20 years at Pixar Animation Studios, Erica was a leader who helped define and express the studio's unique creative culture and approach to unscripted programming on Disney+ and prior platforms. She has deep insight into the process of making animated films, both the creative and technical work of the crew and the director's quest to find a fun and emotional story that resonates with broad audiences.

Before her film career, Erica worked in international development and experiential learning in The Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Oakland, San Francisco, and Nepal.
