- Melisa Sözen is a London-based Turkish actress and producer whose international work spans European cinema and television. She came to international attention with Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s Winter Sleep, winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
Her international credits include Éric Rochant’s acclaimed French series Le Bureau des Légendes for Canal+ and Netflix’s Who Were We Running From?, which reached the Top 10 in 84 countries and became one of the platform’s most successful Turkish series internationally. Her work also includes Netflix’s Istanbul Encyclopedia and Xavier De Choudens’ Damien Veut Changer Le Monde.
Most recently, she stars in Mahnaz Mohammadi’s Roya, which premiered in the Panorama section of the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival and won Best Film at the International Film Festival Innsbruck.
