Boris Volkov, PhD, is a seasoned producer and showrunner who has spent over 15 years turning bold ideas into some of the most-watched shows on television. With a track record of over 30 successful projects, Boris is known for his ability to spot the next big trend and turn it into a long-running hit. The Journey: From News to Reality Boris started his career with a solid academic foundation, earning a PhD in International Media from Moscow State University. He cut his teeth as a reporter and anchor for NTV before realizing his true passion lay in entertainment and format creation. This shift led to the creation of "Instagram Girls," a breakout hit that was featured at MIPTV (Cannes) and later became the first Russian reality series acquired by Amazon Prime for the global market. The Hitmaker Years Boris has a knack for creating shows that viewers love and advertisers want to be a part of. He won his first TEFI Award (the national Emmy equivalent) for "Friday Morning," a show that pioneered a fresh, digital-first aesthetic on traditional TV.
