Benjamin Doerksen is a filmmaker and Cinematic Arts student at Azusa Pacific University. A passionate storyteller, Benjamin began his filmmaking journey at Verrado High School, where he quickly gained recognition as an All-American High School Film Festival-nominated director. He has written and directed multiple critically acclaimed projects. Project-182 (2023) garnered significant recognition, including an award at the 2023 Student Television Network competition, honors from the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association, four wins at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Emmy Student Production Awards, and a prestigious National Student Production Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Expanding his filmography at the collegiate level, Benjamin has continued to elevate his craft by writing and directing narrative projects such as the short film The Telemarketer (2026) and his first feature drama, Chasing Dust (2026). He continues to pursue impactful storytelling through his work in film.
