Jean Malin was born on June 30, 1908 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was an actor. He was married to Lucille Fay Heiman. He died on August 10, 1933 in Venice, California, USA.

Actor, emcee, and female impersonator in the 1920s and 1930s. He drowned in 1933 after accidentally backing his car off the Venice Pier. Actress Patsy Kelly and a close friend, Jimmy Forlenza, were with him at the time but they both survived.

Jean Malin's widow, Lucille Malin (1901-1975) became known in later years as a notorious madam based in Manhattan. In 1936 and 1942, she was convicted of sending prostitutes across state lines for immoral purposes.

"Jean" Malin was known in New York City as an actor, specializing primarily in female impersonations; he went west to Hollywood, acting as a master of ceremonies in various night clubs. At the time of his death, Malin had just finished an engagement at "The Ship", a local night club on the pier; the gig had been advertised as "The Last Night of Gene Malin".
