Biography

Madhan Bob was born on October 19, 1953 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was an actor, known for Mazhai (2005), Thevar Magan (1992) and Friends (2001). He was married to Susheela. He died on August 2, 2025 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Referred to as 'Punnagai Mannan' (King of Smiles) for his distinctive comedic style, including a trademark laughter that induced chuckles all around and amusing expressions.

He also had a career as a musician, having trained in Western Classical and Carnatic music.

Madhan also ventured into different career paths including serving as a medical representative and then serving in as a sales officer for a reasonable stint. He later quit his job as a sales officer in order to embark on opportunities in music arena.

He also reportedly dealt with issues pertaining to stammer, but he himself redeemed himself from the stuttering largely due to his sound knowledge of self-hypnotism.

He was an Indian actor and comedian, appearing in many Tamil films in supporting roles.
