- Jean Vallée was born on October 2, 1939 in Verviers, Belgium. He was an actor and composer, known for Fusil chargé (1972), Night Club (1966) and Eurovision Song Contest (1956). He died on March 12, 2014 in Clermont-sur-Berwinne, Belgium.
- In 1967 Vallée represented Belgium in the Festival of Rio where Jacques Brel was a member of the jury.
- In 1980, Robert Hossein asked him to interpret the role of Javert in the Broadway musical "Les Misérables". Five hundred thousand spectators applauded this adaptation sung the work of Victor Hugo.
- Jean Vallée was made Knight of the order of the Crown by his Majesty Albert II in 1999.
- In 2008, he presented a show in tribute to his elder compatriot Jacques Brel.
- Nana Mouskouri performed in 1971 a song written by Jean Vallée,' The Wave', which became one of his biggest hits.
