Her preferred place to see a movie was the Los Angeles Theatre, a movie palace on L.A.'s Broadway (still extant). She always mentioned its deep carpets and Baroque opulence. When this writer offered-in the late 1990s-to take her there, she politely declined, preferring to remember it "as it was.".
