- Kayla Cache is a young New Zealand actor and filmmaker. She has appeared in television (Dear My Mother, SBS Korea), music videos (Ruby Coley, 0800), short films, and theatre, and has also reported for Kea Kids News.
She starred in and helped direct the short film The Psychic Arts Academy, which was selected for the Academy Award-qualifying San Luis Obispo International Film Festival. Kayla has also directed and starred in short films including The Ivy Forest, which screened at the Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival, as well as The Closet Crawler and That’s Offensive.
In 2024 she received the Best Youth Actor award at the Misty Flicks Film Festival. Her films have also won Best Under 14 Film for That’s Offensive at the 2025 Day One New Filmmaker Awards, Best Youth Film for The Closet Crawler at the 2025 Misty Flicks Film Festival, and Best Cast for My Precious at the Couch Film Festival.
Trained in dance at Rezpect Dance Academy, Kayla continues to develop her skills across acting, directing, and performance.
