Barbara Peikert

Baraba-pe Peikert, (Baraba-pe) Swiss filmmaker and visual artist works on various visual, poetic and sound film projects and continue her abstract fictive art theory "astrazione fiction".The aim of her cinematography is to be experimental and captivate our sensibilities with a 360- degree vision into the future, the past and wherever the imagination takes us. She started producing experimental films at French universities with Master's degrees in visual arts and aesthetics in Paris 1+8 and at the Sapienza in Rome Lighting Design and specializing at the CRM Research Center for Music and Sound Technology in Italy. Her goal is to establish herself as an expert in experimental film and to continue captivating audiences on the big screen. A few years ago, she founded her own company, Atelier a./f., which has participated in over 100 film festivals worldwide since 2019 and has already won several awards as well as numerous official IMDb awards. "1000 O", is the return of a new form of illustration with integrated poetic text, such as the new vision of the film "Waveswaterwall" (2023). On the other hand, "Snowshine" (2021) and "AF_SO_Mont_NB" (2019), a super short film, explored the overcoming of the emotions of light, shadow and color. The animated short film "Mi Di Worm no.10" and the subsequent music video "Periplaneta" (2020) are other experimental films created during the coronavirus outbreak. Short film clips, such as "The Cormorant's Shadow",are animated studies of bird behavior mixed with real images.
