Biography

Hyperphantasia's founder, creative director, and producer Melissa Zhao Jones is a leader in storytelling for the arts, fashion, and entertainment and an innovator in tech. Melissa began her career in music. She produced Arthur Russell's album Calling Out Of Context prior to leading the creative teams at V Magazine, Visionaire, and V Man. Melissa has worked with designer Karl Lagerfeld, Carolina Herrera's Wes Gordon, and brands such as Cartier and Fendi. She has won Telly Awards for Best in Direction, Branded Content, and Social. Melissa is also editor of Masthead Magazine, a large format online publication bringing together influential voices in entertainment. She has collaborated with Billie Eilish, Tilda Swinton, Marina Abramovic, David Byrne, Sia, Michael Stipe, and The Rapture, among many others. Born and raised in Hong Kong and based in New York, Melissa Zhao Jones is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and a trailblazing woman at the intersection of entertainment and the digital world.
