She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Performance-Violin from her home country and a Master of Fine Arts in Music Scoring and Composition from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Mengting's path has been marked by recognition for her work, including awards for projects like "The Soup"(Short Film), which received the BEST DRAMA SHORT FILM at APEX Film Awards, and "This is Goodbye" (Short Film), which earned the BEST LGBTQ FILM at the San Francisco International Film Awards.
