Biography

Ekaterina Lapina was born on October 8, 1971 in Kalinin, Kalininskaya oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Tver, Tverskaya oblast, Russia]. She was an actress, known for 40 (2007), Farewell in June (2003) and Demobbed-003 (2001). She was married to Aleksandr Basov. She died on February 15, 2012 in Lobnya, Moskovskaya oblast, Russia.

Daughter-in-law of Vladimir Basov and Valentina Titova.

On the morning of February 15, 2012 she went from her country house near Lobnya to the screen tests. Her car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a garbage truck due to ice-crusted ground. She was hospitalized and had a surgery, but died the same evening at age 37. She was cremated and the urn with her ashes is buried on the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery.
