Mark Butler(XXXIV)

Mark Butler is a highly experienced Australian Labor Party politician and a key figure in the current Albanese Government. He has represented the federal electorate of Hindmarsh (and previously Port Adelaide before a redistribution) since 2007. He has been re-elected multiple times. Before entering politics, Butler worked for over 15 years as an official with the United Voice union (formerly the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union, LHMU), including 11 years as State Secretary in South Australia. He holds a First-Class Honours Law degree, an Arts degree, and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Adelaide and Deakin University.
