Biography

Norberto Fuentes was born in 1943 in Havana, Cuba. He is a writer, known for Jíbaro (1985), Kulturplatz (2004) and American Experience (1988). He has been married to Dr. Niurka Fuentes since March 8, 1998.

He is an notable Cuban writer, and old friend of Fidel Castro until the trial of General Arnaldo Ochoa and Colonel Antonio La Guardia, he escaped a death sentence in 1990s Cuba and now lives in exile in Florida. He was awarded with Casa de las Ameicas Prize 1968. Is the author of "The Fidel Castro Autobiography".
