From Derbyshire, England, Jamie Whitty Studied Film at Confetti, Institute for Creative Technologies in Nottingham and continued on to study for his BA in Film Production at the University for the Creative Arts. Having a primary focus on writing and directing he made his first notable short film 'A Field of Wild Foxgloves' (2023) with the support of a number of his fellow young contemporaries. This was followed up with Jamie Whitty's second Writer/Director project 'To A Flame' (2024).
