Biography

Mishell Guaña is a Chilean-Ecuadorian actress who gained international recognition with her screen debut in The Settlers (Los Colonos, 2023), directed by Felipe Gálvez. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received the FIPRESCI Prize, and was later selected by the Chilean Film Academy as Chile’s submission for the Academy Awards. Her performance earned her nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Pedro Sienna Awards (2024) and the Caleuche Awards - Gente que se Transforma (2025). She later appeared in the feature film Contra, directed by Artisha Mann-Cooper and filmed in Thailand. She is currently collaborating with Chilean director Sebastián Pereira and is involved in several short films. Mishell was also selected for the 21st edition of Talents Buenos Aires, organized by Universidad del Cine in cooperation with Berlinale Talents and BAFICI.
