Biography

Alexandra Maria Manda is a film director, producer, 2D & 3D animator, graphic artist, and video editor. She was born in Romania, and she received recognition as an artist at an international level by the Luxembourg Art Museum. Alexandra won two awards at the Cannes World Film Festival Remember the Future with her movie "Against Time," which was made in collaboration with Salvamont Arges and The Avalanche Dogs of Salvamont Romania and it's her first movie made as a student in her first year of college for her first exam. After Cannes, Alexandra received recognition for her movies through nominees and prestigious awards from international film festivals such as Accolade Global Film Competition, Venice Short Film Festival, Best Short Competition, Suwon International Film Festival, Miranda Corta Short Film Festival, The IndieFEST Film Awards, Tianjin International Academic Film Festival, Kalakari Film Festival, etc. She played in a theater play with Maia Morgenstern (known for the role of Maria in the movie "The Passion of the Christ" - directed by Mel Gibson). Alexandra worked with a few famous people from her field, and she was involved in over 60 projects in the fields of film, production, and animation. Alexandra started doing movies in Highschool, when she was 16. Alexandra became passionate about science fiction films since she was a student in the 5th grade in Pitesti, her hometown, being introduced by her father to the world of the famous "Star Wars" series. Gradually, Alexandra's passion for movies, special effects, and animation took shape. In the 9th grade, when she was a student at the "Dinu Lipatti" Art High School in Pitesti, she realized that she really likes the world of film. Alexandra constantly worked with talent and passion on her dream. Alexandra's statement: When we have a dream, we must make choices that are true to ourselves, even if they come with risks and those around us don’t understand. In a society where status and dominance revolve around money, soulful happiness lies at the core of our well-being, while money is merely a material possession, fleeting and impermanent. We have all experienced moments when we felt the need to rebel, just to show who we are and what we were created for.

When she was 4,she used to draw every day and she started taking drawing courses when she was 9.At the age of 11 she moved to the Highschool of Arts "Dinu Lipatti Pitesti".She also finished high school there,entering in the 9th grade in the graphic class.In high school,she started studying Animation and started her career in film-directing with her little team that she made. Alexandra is dreaming of having a career at Marvel Studios and Disney in Animation and Film-Directing and maybe in acting.
