Michael Strahan

Overview

Michael Strahan was born on November 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017), Ice Age: Collision Course (2016) and Charlie's Angels (2019). He was previously married to Jean Marie Muggli and Wanda Nicole Hutchins.

Played his entire career in the National Football League with one team, the New York Giants.
Was not able to play US high school football until he was a high school senior at Westbury High School in Houston, Texas. However, he was able to play organized football as a linebacker for the Mannheim (Germany) Redskins in 1985, mostly made up of other military brats from the nearby US Army base where his father was stationed.
In order to get US high school football experience, his father sent him to live with his brother Art Strahan in Houston, Texas, the summer before his senior year. Art arranged for Michael to attend Westbury High School in Houston, where he played one season of football, enough for him to get a scholarship offer from Texas Southern University.
From ages 9-16, he grew up in Mannheim, Germany, on a US Army base, where his father, Major Gene Strahan, was stationed.
His mother, Louise Strahan, was a basketball coach.

"You have all these things being said about you, things that aren't true, but you can't control any of it. At first I was freaking out, but then I just realized: the only thing I can be is me. I used to be really worried what people thought, and I always tried to act in ways to make sure I was liked. And you know what? Suddenly none of that mattered. So I just started being myself, and I got really comfortable with that, and I think that's what people like about seeing me on the show ('Live With...').
