Sebastian Araya Serrano has been working in film and television for the past 20 years. His career began as an actor in Spain but soon took him to settle down in Chile where he writes, produces and directs films and television series. He has developed various audiovisual projects through his AFRO FILM production company.

Of Portuguese and Chilean nationality, Sebastian Araya Serrano has been working in film and television for the past 20 years. His career began as an actor in Spain, where he starred in the TVE series "Nazca", along with Paco Rabal and Ginés García Millán, but soon took him to settle down in Chile where he writes, produces and directs films and television series. He has developed various audiovisual projects through his production company Afro Films: "Azul y Blanco", "El Lenguaje del Tiempo" and "La Salamandra" being three of his most outstanding feature films. As well as the fiction series "Vida por Vida" and "Príncipes de Barrio", both distributed on international platforms. Currently, and projecting the shooting for 2023, the feature film "Antártica" will be the fourth film by Araya, a co-production film with Spain "Zircozine" and Argentina "Tango Films", with an international cast headed by the renowned Luis Tosar and Úrsula Corberó.
