- Hans Küng was born on March 19, 1928 in Sursee, Lucerne, Switzerland. He was a director and writer, known for Spurensuche - Die Weltreligionen auf dem Weg (1999), Landesschau (1957) and Titel, Thesen, Temperamente (1967). He died on April 6, 2021 in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
- From 1960 he was Professor for dogmatical and ecumenical theology at the Catholic theolgical faculty on the University Tübingen, Germany. In 1979 he was dismissed (because of his critical statement about the infallibility of the Pope). From 1980-1996 he taught ecumenical theology in Tübingen outside the theological faculty.
