Biography

Tony Condren is an experienced Stunt Coordinator, having coordinated films such as Pursuit and Breakfast on Pluto. Tony also acted as Assistant Stunt Coordinator on Mary Queen of Scots, The Flag and Supervized among others.

Tony is also a Stunt Performer, his credits include over 60 episodes on Vikings, including a number of featured roles, 7 episodes of Into the Badlands, including stunt double for Nick Frost in the fight unit as well as 6 episodes on Penny Dreadful.

Tony is currently the Chief Stunt Rigger and part of the Core Stunt Team on Vikings. He has designed and fabricated many stunt rigs and has a unique ability to problem solve, then create and build bespoke rigs to meet requirements; e.g. 100 meter Zipline built to spec, Flying Crane (for flying/suspending/floating scenes), Descender for cable descents up to approx 25 meters (as used on Mary Queen of Scots, Vikings, Shrooms and The Wild Woods).

Tony is also a Stunt-Driving Instructor with a wealth of experience spanning over twenty five years using multiple vehicle types, performing stunts such as car crashes and rollovers. Tony successfully completed stunt driving training with Bobby Orr (of Dukes of Hazard and Starski and Hutch fame - Film & TV Series') both in the US and in Ireland and has an impeccable safety record. He holds current licenses for articulated and rigid trucks, cars, boats, motorbikes, 360 excavators, teleporters, forklift trucks, dumper trucks and bobcats.
