Marco Belardi is an Italian producer who has made several hits, including Perfect Strangers (2016), which entered the Guinness World Records as the film with the most remakes in the world, There's No Place Like Home (2018) directed by Gabriele Muccino, and the series The Lions of Sicily (2023) produced with Disney. In December 2021, Marco Belardi left Lotus Production and Leone Film Group to establish a new company, Greenboo Production, with which he has already realized many projects.

Marco Belardi has always been passionate about cinema: immediately after graduating from the State Institute of Cinematography and Television "Roberto Rossellini" he attended Cinecittà studios and made backstages for several advertising agencies. In 1996 he founded the postproduction company Immaginando, while in 1999 he became a partner in Sunflower Production, a television and advertising production company. In 2003 he was one of the founding partners of Hangar, a format and TV show production company. The following year he founded Lotus Production, a production and post-production company with which he achieved success and became one of Italy's top-rated producers. After realizing Federico Moccia's Love 14 (2009), with Lotus his first big success came in 2010 with Paolo Genovese's Immaturi, with whom he began a partnership that lasts to this day and that led him to produce other successes such as Immaturi - Il viaggio (2012), Una famiglia perfetta (2012), Blame Freud (2014), The Place (2017), Supereroi (2021) and The First Day of My Life (2023). However, the biggest success made for Lotus with Paolo Genovese is Perfect Strangers (2016): in addition to achieving record box office takings (nearly 50 million euros), the film entered the Guinness World Records as the film with the most remakes in the world (25 versions) and received numerous awards: David di Donatello for best film and best screenplay; Nastri d'Argento for best comedy, best song and special mention to the entire cast; Globo d'oro for best comedy; Ciak d'oro for best film and best screenplay. In 2015 Marco Belardi joined the Leone Film group, to which he sold Lotus Production while remaining its Ceo. In those years, Belardi started two important partnerships with two prominent Italian directors: Paolo Virzì and Gabriele Muccino. With Virzì he made Like Crazy (2016) (premiered at the 69th Cannes Film Festival in the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs section) and Magical Nights (2018), while with Muccino he realized There's No Place Like Home (2018), The Best Years (2020) and No Place Like Home (2021). Numerous awards have been received over the years: Perfetti sconosciuti received David di Donatello as best film and best screenplay; Nastri d'Argento as best comedy, best original song and special mention to the entire cast; Globo d'oro as best comedy; Ciak d'oro as best film and best screenplay. A casa tutti bene - The series was awarded the Nastro d'argento as best TV series, as was the film of the same name from which it is based. To these are added the various awards won by La pazza gioia: first and foremost the David di Donatello as best film, best director, best leading actress, best set designer and best hairstylist; Nastri d'argento as best director, best screenplay, best leading actress, best costumes and best soundtrack; Globo d'oro as best screenplay; Ciak d'oro as best film, best leading actress and best editing. In December 2021, Marco Belardi left Lotus Production and Leone Film Group to establish a new company, Greenboo Production, with which he has already produced several projects: the docufilm Luciano Ligabue: 30 anni in un giorno (2023) directed by Marco Salom and the stage show Giorgio Panariello: La favola mia (2023), available on Netflix. For the cinema, in 2023 Greenboo Production produced the films La guerra dei nonni (2023) and Come far litigare mamma e papà (2024), both directed by Gianluca Ansanelli. For the TV Belardi realized Califano (2024), the biopic about Franco Califano, starring Leo Gassman and directed by Alessandro Angelini, broadcast in prime time on Rai1 on February 11, 2024. Among the projects in development there are the series based on Nuovo Cinema Paradiso written by Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore, The Italian Chapel, a film co-produced with the UK that will be directed by Francesca Archibugi, and 00Khaby, a comedy starring TikTok superstar Khaby Lame.
