Anjali Moorthy is an NYC-based filmmaker and performer pursuing her BFA in Film & Television from NYU Tisch. As a South Asian multi-hyphenate, she recognizes her value and responsibility to tell meaningful stories. A strong advocate for interdisciplinary art, Anjali aims to make the musical theatre experience more accessible through her films. With training in Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance) and experience in jazz and musical theatre, and a music-inclined upbringing, she loves contributing a global perspective to her artistic endeavors. Films that she has Assistant Directed have screened at Tasveer Film Festival and New York Shorts International, to name a few.
