- Nathan also developed an eye for spotting talent when he began working as assistant to Belfast's top talent agent Patrick Duncan of Dealers Agency. His years of experience working within the agency enabled him to work extensively on numerous television and film castings with top clients and casting directors including John and Ros Hubbard. Nathan has assisted in castings for Films including; 48 Angels and A Shine of Rainbows. He also worked on the casting for C.I.T.V.'S BelBoys and commercials for the Health Promotions Agency, Guinness, Ulster Bank and The Halifax.
- He has a twin brother called Carl Hughes.
