Trevor Gatabaki is an actor, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist whose work centers on character-driven storytelling, emotional honesty, and visually distinct worlds. A graduate of the BFA Acting program at The University of Texas at Austin, Gatabaki developed his practice across stage and screen before building a growing body of work in independent film.
His screen credits include Little Broken Bird, produced through Tyler Perry Studios’ Dream Collective, as well as the independent features It Sucks to Be Young and Pace Yourself. His work as a performer is often drawn toward layered characters and stories dealing with identity, vulnerability, youth, and the more complicated edges of human connection.
Alongside acting, Gatabaki works as a writer, director, producer, photographer, and visual artist. His filmmaking practice includes independent projects such as Eidolon, and his broader creative work spans narrative film, photography, writing, music, and cinematic visual media.
Across disciplines, Gatabaki approaches his work with an emphasis on naturalism, courage, and specificity, viewing each medium as another way of exploring character and the human experience.
