- Ahuatl is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning, queer, Latinx-Indigenous director and writer born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
His films have received critical acclaim and screened at over 60 festivals worldwide.
"Warehouse" received the festival favorite award at the 2024 Cinema Diverse festival in Palm Springs and "Physical Therapy" was awarded the community filmmaker award at the 2024 Los Angeles Shorts International Film Festival.
His sports comedy film "Mean Goals" premiered at the 2025 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and earned the directors choice award at the 2025 Cinema Diverse festival.
He graduated with an MFA in Screenwriting from the AFI Conservatory and a BA in English from Georgetown University.
