Xana Kernodle(2002-2022)
Xana Kernodle was a bright, fun-loving, and caring young woman who made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She grew up in Post Falls, Idaho, where she was raised alongside her sisters and remembered as adventurous, loyal, and full of energy.
Xana graduated from Post Falls High School before enrolling at the University of Idaho, where she majored in marketing. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and was known for her bubbly personality, sense of humor, and kindness toward others. Friends and family described her as someone who lit up every room she walked into.
She shared a close and loving relationship with her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, and was deeply connected to her circle of friends, with whom she made countless memories. Xana loved traveling, trying new experiences, and living life to the fullest.
Her life was tragically cut short at age 20, alongside her boyfriend and two close friends-Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves-during an attack at their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022. Though her time was short, Xana Kernodle is remembered for her laughter, kindness, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
