Biography

Kiran Lal is an accomplished Chief Audio Engineer and Faculty at NHQ, with over two decades of experience in audio engineering, music mixing, sound design, and immersive audio production. He began his career in 2005 at Soundtech Media, Chennai, and subsequently worked with reputed organizations in Hyderabad and Chennai before moving to Kerala in 2008.

Associated with Lal Media, Kiran entered the Malayalam film industry and went on to work on several notable productions, including the blockbuster Vikramadithyan. His expertise and creative approach to audio mixing have earned him industry recognition, including the Indywood Excellence Award for Best Mixing (2017) and a SIMA recognition for mixing the short film Canvas.

Kiran has worked across English, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Bengali productions. His expertise encompasses film-song mixing, background music, sound effects, surround mixing, and Dolby Atmos.

At NHQ, he combines his extensive industry experience with a passion for mentoring and training the next generation of audio professionals.

In 2006, he began his career at Geethgovind studio (ISKCON) in Hyderabad.

Since 2013, he has been working as the Chief Audio Engineer and Faculty at Noise Head Quarters (NHQ) in Cochin.

In 2008, he worked as an ADR and Assistant Rerecording Mixer at Lal Media Arts in Cochin, the hub for the Malayalam film industry.
